The following is a list of online resources to help you with learning the different aspects of photography. They are divided into sections to make it easier to find the resource you need for any topic. Photographic Techniques
A free conprehensive site devoted to the technical side of photography. It contains photographic tips and techniques, reviews on equipment, and post production how-to blogs. A user forum allows members to query each other on a variety of photographic subjects and critique each other's works. Did I mention it's free?
Blogs containing tips on various types of photography such as wedding and portrait, plus articles on how to showcase and sell your photos.
A community driven website featuring user reviews, galleries, tutorials, and forums, all written by the members.
This is a blog of sorts. Readers can upload photos, they give away stuff, and write product reviews. Not real detailed, but hey, they give away stuff.
This webpage contains various tutorials for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. It contains downloadable files, user forums, user galleries, and links to other resources.

Located in S. San Francisco, Golden State Art sells matting and framing supplies at wholesale prices. Matts include backing and plastic sleeves at amazingly low prices. Delivery is fast. I've used them and was amazed at their delivery time.
Need prints proceesed fast? Mpix had mine back in two days. They offer free color correction as well as low prices for printing. Mpix also partners with Zenphoto to offer gallery web sites at reasonable prices with e-commerce funtions to allow one stop shopping for purchasing and processing prints.

This site has a step-by-step tutorial on how to clean the sensor of your digital camera.
The Digital Darkroom
A series of blogs at assist you in using Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, and your camera, to create stunning photographs and works of art.
Pro Photo Tools 2 is a program that lets you geotag your photos during post-production. You tell the program what city, or area, you took the photo and it will look it up on Microsoft's Visual Earth program, then assign the geotag to the metadata. Pro Photo Tools is free. Virtual Earth can be downloaded and installed from within Pro Photo Tools. Just in case you missed it, IT'S A FREE PROGRAM.
Photography and Travel
This is a blogger site dedicated not only to photography, but blogging about your travels. This site covers everything from shooting in weather, to what to wear, to caring for your equipment in inclimate weather, to selling your photographs. You could spend hours trolling this site.
A group calling themselves "Friends of the LA River" conduct photography classes in the Los Angeles River and Harbor. The site details the classes and has galleries of photos from past classes. A very different type of photography class with some interesting photos to spark your creative juices.
For those of you who like to hike, or are into nature photography, here is a database of waterfalls in California. The database includes GPS coordinates for those of you who like to geotag your images.
